Beaver Creek Nature Area

Beaver Creek Nature Area is a free local wetland sanctuary located west of Knox along route 208. Situated in a green valley, the 800 acres include 13 ponds. After purchasing the land in 1980, the Alliance for Wetlands and Wildlife began developing the facility in partnership with several local, state and federal groups. Restrooms, a picnic pavilion, stocked ponds, nature trails and a viewing platform are available for visitors. Educational programming can be scheduled in the education center.
