Chapter History

After a one year provisional charter, Seneca Rocks was granted full member status as a chartered chapter of National Audubon on May 13, 1985.  The membership has grown from 82 members in 1985 to 245 in 2003. Seneca Rocks Audubon Society has been an active participant in habitat conservation efforts and a variety of bird surveys since its inception.  The chapter newsletter, The Drummer, has been published since January of 1985.

From an earlier Drummer...

This year Margaret had a birthday that placed her somewhere in excess of 29 years old and a surprise birthday party was planned and carried out for her at the Captain Loomis restaurant by Sherry Vowinkle. There were a number of members of the SRAS in attendance. Margaret received this hat from Roy and Heidi Boyle. She was delighted with it as can easily be seen in this photo captured by the Boyles.

From an earlier outing...
